Nichole & Robert Booth have a 15 year old daughter Alexis, who
relies on life support machines to breathe.
Other than that, she's a typical, loving teenager, who misses her
karaoke machine, music, and jewelery box, which burned in the
October 2007 firestorm.
Alexis is big sister to Charlie, 14, Oliver, 4, and Kiriann, 2. More
than anything, these kids just want life to get back to normal...please
help make that happen!

These fabulous people have been in Ramona, California for decades, and their
Booth Pump Service business is well-known because they do conscientious work
and don't charge an arm and a leg.
They had no homeowners insurance. After the Cedar Fire in 2003, insurance
companies hiked their rates way out of the Booth's range.
Robert and Nichole Booth, have daughter Alexis (15), son Charlie(14), son Oliver
(4) and daughter Kiriann (2)
Alexis was 2 when she was diagnosed with a cyst on her brain stem. After
multiple surgeries and Robert and Nichole living at Ronald McDonald house for
months on end, Alexis wound up paralyzed on the left side from the neck down,
and on life support.
Nichole refused to institutionalize her daughter. They do get some assistance in
nursing from the state & their health insurance, but not nearly enough, and either
Robert or Nichole often stays up 24 hours to monitor Alexis' machines.
Alexis is a riot and a love all rolled up in one package. She's funny, very smart
and compassionate. She is on the Pop Warner cheer team. She's an excellent big
sister to her three siblings and never, ever complains.
I SO want these people to have a decent home to live in and to not have to worry
about where to get their next meal while they get back on their feet. They lost all
their parts and equipment for their pump service. They are already getting calls
from customers and people wanting Booth Pump Service to help them out, and
the Booths are trying to figure out how to do that.
This is where FEMA or the SBA could help. Unfortunately, red tape and
bureaucratic nonsense is slowing and/or stopping this process entirely.
The Booths try to give Alexis and her siblings the best life possible. A few years
ago, they made a cross-country road trip pilgrimage to Disney World in Florida,
charting their route by medical supply company way points so they could refresh
oxygen tanks, etc.
Nichole's van, which has the lift and the room Alexis' wheelchair requires, is old
and needs work badly- it's getting ready to conk out.
This fire couldn't have come at a worse time...
THANK YOU FOR HELPING!!

I am a family friend and self-appointed Booth advocate. I'm donating my time and this website to
help spread the word. All your donations go directly to the Booths via the Booths Family Fund
account. Every single cent!
Can the Red Cross speak this same truth about their donations? Hmmm...

"One time, Robert Booth fixed an elderly woman's well so she could have water again- and since he knew she couldn't afford a bill, he took a bag of oranges in lieu of payment (his idea). These people are golden."
